Alicia is a versatile management and fundraising professional, known as a creative problem solver and disciplined leader. Her extensive experience includes executive counsel and strategic decision-making for nonprofit and political organizations. She is skilled in nonprofit financial management, fundraising assessments and planning, board and staff recruitment and training, major donor fundraising, event management, and nonprofit and political compliance.

Prior to co-founding Alexion Fischer LLC, Alicia served as Executive Vice President of the Trust for the National Mall, where she managed a $6 million annual operating budget and led the senior management team in development, communications, special events and daily operations of the Trust in its historic $350 million campaign to restore the National Mall.

Alicia previously served as President of Hargrove Group, a boutique consulting firm that provided services for nonprofit and political organizations across the country and co-founded AliMar Partners, a fundraising consulting firm that provided senior finance counsel to EMILY’s List candidates. Earlier in her career, Alicia served as Director of Development for the National Partnership for Women & Families; Director of Compliance at Perkins Coie; and National Finance Director for Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Harris Wofford, after serving as his legislative correspondent on Capitol Hill.

Alicia has trained hundreds of development professionals from political fundraising trainings for the DNC and Emily’s List, to presentations at the Bridge Conference to visiting lecturer at American University’s Arts Management Master’s Degree Program.

Alicia is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has guided volunteer boards in her work, and as a volunteer herself. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Community Bridges and was Board Chair of Wonders Early Learning for many years.  She resides in Bethesda with her husband, Ed Krauze, and their two sons.
